SUMMARY:
Execute more than 65 board and executive meetings and events each year. Manage writing, editing and posting for employee intranet. Produced annual report for 20,000 policyholders.

DETAILS:
I support the company's three Boards of Directors and Executive Staff team of 13 through meeting, conference and retreat planning. This involves planning more than 50 board and committee meetings each year, and more than 15 executive off-site strategy sessions, team-building activities and business meetings. Plus, a four-day, out-of-state, activity and meeting intensive board retreat attended by 45 board and executive team members.

I manage the employee intranet for a company of 170+ people. This includes editing story submissions for consistency and AP style, writing stories based on employee requests, and creating and sending the weekly intranet recap e-newsletter. I also use my HTML coding skills to post written stories directly to our intranet using Dreamweaver and Joomla software.

I assist the Communications team as needed, such as managing the production of the 2013 Annual Report from implementation to execution, which was sent to an audience of more than 20,000 policyholders.

I assist the CEO and executive staff with research, writing, presentations and communications.

Event and Volunteer Manager

SUMMARY:
Executed events that resulted in revenue responsible for nearly half of the operating budget. Built a thriving brand ambassador base of more than 250 people.

DETAILS:
I planned, produced, organized, and executed more than 100 events each year that benefited the 100 Club by promoting its mission, developing partnerships in the local community, and resulting in more than $430,000 in revenue annually.

I supervised organization event staff in the coordination and execution of community-hosted events including overseeing a volunteer base of more than 250 people, which I built up from a small starting base of 50 people over the course of two years.

I developed and implemented strategies to recruit the right volunteers with the right skills. I worked with volunteers and provided training to increase their understanding of the organization, its constituents, and its services in order to produce strong, enthusiastic brand ambassadors.

I directly managed volunteers as needed and provided guidance, support, tools and resources to other staff for working with volunteers.

SUMMARY:
Implemented the organization’s first public relations department, which resulted in the organization being positioned as one of the local “go to” resources for public safety events in the news.

DETAILS:
I planned, produced, organized and executed press releases, brochures and marketing media that increased awareness in the community and positively impacted the 100 Club.

I developed and nurtured media relationships, building up the 100 Club’s reputation for being a go to resource for comments on public safety news and events.

I maintained the external website, including finding relevant stories and information to post in a timely manner and utilizing coding and Wordpress skills for hands on updating.

I developed and then implemented the organization’s first social media strategies including launching an e-newsletter, blog, Twitter and Facebook.

I coordinated organization-wide visual communications including video production, photo shoots, flyers, brochures and other in-house collateral materials to support events, marketing and public relations efforts.
