Sr. Technical Writer

I planned, wrote, and edited user help documentation for construction project management and accounting software.

When the software became web-based, we overhauled the help files and I came up with ways to make the Help interface and content more clear and concise.

I worked with the Special Projects Group on a module that became available to a wider audience. I formatted and edited a series of web services documents and updated the Help.

I formatted and copy edited training documents for the annual Users' Conference. During the event, I conducted usability exercises.

Every month I proofread the employee newsletter. This consisted of news and information from various departments including Marketing, Support, and Development. I also wrote an article about clients who were involved in LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) building projects.

I wrote scripts, narrated, and produced instructional videos using Camtasia video editor.

Technical Editor

I was a contractor with the Material and Process Technology Group. I edited documents for the 787 Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) project. As the project focal when the lead technical writer was out of the office, I assigned and reviewed ATE documents for peers.

In addition to the ATE project, I edited, formatted, and proofread technical documents; I worked with engineers to provide clear, concise, and error-free documentation.

Furthermore, I wrote procedural documents and updated the style guide for the technical writing team.
