Ballet Des Moines

•Specifically hired as the first Executive Director and sole full-time employee to improve administrative function, raise an additional $300,000 in funding and to launch the first resident company of professional dancers in Des Moines, Iowa since 1997. Liaison between all Board of Directors, donors, media, vendors, and international staff.
•Planned and produced 35+ community outreach events, Board retreats and media appearances consisting of 20 to 2,500 people each year. Steered and executed three major professional ballet performances annually while overseeing a staff of 400 dancers, volunteers and staff.
•Used statistical data from ticket sales to execute print and online marketing strategies. Increased ticket sales by 10% and audience attendance by 20%.
•Wrote and managed the production of external marketing materials such as promo brochures, posters, ad copy, direct mail pieces, e-newsletters, website content and press releases. Composed proposals and scripts for high profile donor solicitations and calling campaigns.
•Created and submitted 20 local and national grants annually contributing to 50% of budget income. Designed a Giftworks database program to track donor communication and giving levels.

•Coordinated logistics for Zoo weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and festivals for groups of 50 to 5,000 people. Acted as the main point of supervision for assigned events and directed set-up and tear-down. Planned area layout for major summer festivals which spanned the entire zoo perimeter (25 acres).
•Integrated branding transition and created print materials for all events through Adobe and InDesign products.
