In 2002, I began writing features on a variety of lifestyle topics. Over the years, I’ve been a contributor for Huffington Post, Oyster.com, Forbes Travel Guide, Examiner.com, GoGoBot.com, Hotels.com Travel Smart Blog, Where Traveler, Dallas Morning News, and Dallas Observer. I also served as the managing editor of SoulTrain.com from 2009 to 2011.
Social media marketing/promotion:
- Black Girls CODE: Press contact for "Build a Webpage in a Day" in Dallas and launched a social media campaign that drove 50+ volunteer signups, 80+ registrants for the event, and generated 1.4 million impressions on Twitter.
- United Negro College Fund: Proposed a social media strategy for nationally-televised “UNCF, An Evening of Stars” event that included Facebook ads, tie-ins with Instagram, Twitter, and media outreach.
