The last adventure I went on was a sixth month stay in Mexico where I learned about three words of Spanish, fell in and out of love, and stumbled through the streets of a historical city that was losing itself to Americanized ideals. There was also amazing coffee.

A solo trip to Africa over Thanksgiving break. An opportunity to adventure around an entire continent where I knew not a single soul. It gave incredible perspective and gratitude. The pace was also quite the break from bustling NYC!

Visiting NYC for the first time last March. From the touristy visits to Times Square, the Today show, and Top of the Rock to drinks in Brooklyn and brunch in a neighborhood tucked away somewhere in Manhattan, it was a lovely trip. It was exciting to explore a big city that I'd never been to and navigate the public transportation. Crossing some Broadway shows and a Food Network star's restaurant off my bucket list didn't hurt either!

I spent three days last August backpacking in the Cascades Mountains in Washington. It was by far the scariest and most challenging thing I've ever done. So incredible! Planning a longer trip to Oregon this year...

My last adventure was backpacking Europe with a close high school friend after graduating college. It was thrilling to visit new places and meet other travelers along the way. We had a few mishaps, but those always turn into the best stories and memories. I'm long overdue for my next adventure!

I moved to Jordan in the Middle East last year to spend a year as a teacher. It was incredibly difficult to drop everything and move to a foreign country/culture where you don't know anyone, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I just returned from a 10-day trip to Hawaii where I hiked, surfed, practiced yoga, snorkeled, and so much more. I was especially grateful for all of the outdoor activities since I suffered a serious back injury three years ago that required more than two years of grueling rehabilitation. I learned that life's challenges are oftentimes our greatest gifts...I'm more active and adventurous than ever before. Had I not been injured, I'm not sure I would be diving into the adventures that I have on tap today.

My boyfriend planned a surprise trip to Colorado for my birthday. We had a blast - relaxed, hiked, took in all of the beauty, AND we got engaged!
