The Best Option

Evident in many Millennial female households, Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg is a must-have for any bookshelf. If you’re someone striving for career excellence, make sure to reserve a space on your bookshelf. The Chief Operating Officer of Facebook has just announced the release of her second book – it’s definitely worth a read! Last week, Recode reported that Sheryl Sandberg’s upcoming book will explore the topics of resilience and grief. This project is especially poignant for her as she endured the sudden loss of her beloved husband Dave Goldberg last year. At this past spring’s commencement address at the University of California, Berkeley, we were fortunate enough to experience her unwavering resilience and strength as she gave an electrifying yet heartfelt speech. Set to be released in 2017, Option B is the name of Sheryl Sandberg’s upcoming book. The title was inspired by a post she shared on Facebook when one of her friends stood in for Goldberg at their son’s event last year – proving that where there is a B, there can always be an A! When tears streamed down her face and she lamented the absence of her husband, he offered comforting words. “Option A is not available. So let’s just kick the s— out of option B.” This amazing and motivating quote is now proudly displayed all around the Facebook office, inspiring employees every day. Adam Grant, a worldly Wharton professor, and organizational psychologist at the tender age of 34 is collaborating on this project. Sugar Parents

If you’re still receiving financial aid from your parents, don’t sweat it – whether you recently graduated or have been out of school for a few years, this is totally understandable. We all need help every now and then! Startling statistics from the Society of Grownups reveal that nearly one-third of adults aged 21 to 45 depending on their parents for financial assistance. An astonishing 30 percent of adults in their thirties and an impressive 21 percent of those in their forties are being graced with financial aid from rental properties. They do have the intention to return it at some point, however. Within the next seven years, 34 percent of those receiving financial support anticipate providing some form of assistance to their parents.
