We can all agree that we would love to chat with Tina Fey and glean her wisdom on life, yet unfortunately, she’s too preoccupied for such conversations. Nevertheless, I’m confident she has the secret to living life figured out!

We are lucky to have Tina’s sage wisdom at our fingertips – she graciously takes the time and effort to interview experts, then records her key takeaways for us. Here is a compilation of some valuable tips that she has imparted over time – they will guide you through any life situation:

On Beauty

I want to thank my parents for raising me to have confidence that is somehow disproportionate with my looks and abilities. Well done. That is what all parents should do.

If you retain nothing else, always remember the most important rule of beauty, which is: who cares?

Bossypants

Tina is the epitome of success in beauty, having received criticism for diverging from conventional “hot” standards. She has demonstrated to us on several occasions that brains, cleverness, and making efforts with what you have are all it takes to thrive in life – qualities much more important than actual physical beauty. Beauty may come and go but possessing a sharp wit lasts forever!

On Finding Yourself

Speak in statements instead of apologetic questions. No one wants to go to a doctor who says, ‘I’m going to be your surgeon? I’m here to talk to you about your procedure? I was first in my class at Johns Hopkins, so?’ Make statements, with your actions and your voice.

I think I finally, in my late 30s, am getting over this teenage shyness.

Tina speaks to the best way of existing in a world that tries to categorize us; by understanding ourselves, embracing our unique qualities, and marching fearlessly towards our goals. Even during those uncomfortable phases where we feel like everything is going wrong – remember everyone experiences them! Use this time as an opportunity to get acquainted with yourself and it will later prove invaluable when you tell your friends about it at cocktail parties.

On Career

Lead her away from Acting, but not all the way to Finance. Something where she can make her own hours, but still feel intellectually fulfilled and get outside sometimes. And not have to wear high heels. What would that be, Lord?

Bossypants

Whatever the problem, be part of the solution. Don’t just sit around raising questions and pointing out obstacles.

Bossypants

Tina’s most renowned area for her quotes is in the realm of career; she has served as a beacon to many female comedians and knows exactly what she’s saying. Her advice? Don’t be afraid to speak up, and don’t diminish yourself by being too shy or playing dumb – always stay true to who you are! Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have both spoken up about the difficulty of rising to success as females in their time on “Saturday Night Live,” yet they still stand today, boasting successful careers in writing and acting. Why? They pressed forward with confidence that their talent and determination could go beyond any barriers or negative opinions thrown at them. Tina urges us all—you must work for it, put yourself out there fearlessly, take risks without hesitation, and contribute your thoughts openly––in order to gain traction towards achieving your dreams! She is a prime example of embracing female empowerment initiatives like ‘lean-in’, so I am more than open to listening to her career guidance anytime she gives it!

On Intelligence

I know for sure that you can tell how smart people are by what they laugh at.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of just cranking out things that are good enough to sell.

I have immense admiration for Tina Fey and her talents as an actress and a writer. She is sharp, ingenious, and honest with her words. Her statements about intelligence show that we should never be content with the status quo; instead, we should always strive to reach our highest potential by pushing ourselves beyond our limits – both in terms of how far we can go creatively or intellectually. This is evident through what she has achieved thus far in life – something which makes us believe that anything is possible if you dare to dream big!

On Love

Yes to love, yes to life, yes to staying in more!

Liz Lemon

I wait for his response, hoping that in the twenty-first century romantic love can be defined as not lying about your plans to get on the lifeboat and remembering to get your partner some pills. He just laughs. With that settled, we begin our married life.

Bossypants

Tina always used to joke about being single until she met her husband – gosh if everyone could be so lucky! Today they have a wonderful marriage typified by their two beautiful children and an epic beginning story. Apparently, before getting married Tina told him that on the Titanic, she would take the lifeboat while he had Rose’s plank of wood. It looks like it worked out nicely for them seeing as how they’ve been together for thirteen years now!

Tina Fey has always been an inspiration to us all through her portrayal of Liz Lemon on “30 Rock”, where we’ve seen her trying hard to learn valuable life lessons over the course of many years. It seems as if she’s now got it all figured out – and what a relief for everyone that these meaningful insights have been jotted down! From this point onwards, Tina Fey can continue inspiring us with lasting wisdom about career, life, love, and family.

What has been the most impactful lesson you’ve learned from Tina Fey that applies to life?
