Only you can see this list

We’ve all been there. Your alarm went off and you hit the snooze button. Suddenly you wake up and you’re super late. Late isn’t even the right word. Screwed is more like it. But you have that client coming in today, so wearing your boxer shorts and a sorority t-shirt is just really not going to cut it. You literally have 15 minutes to get from your bed to out the door and look presentable at the same time. So how do you go from 0 to 60 when you have no time? We talked with Haley Kulow, CEO and Founder of HK Beauty Consulting, and Estelle Shaw, Lifestyle Expert and founder of FitnessFlower.com.

1. Wash your face with cold water

Kulow says always wash your face in the morning. Using cold water will wake up your skin, bring color to your face and help with puffiness. Add a moisturizer directly afterwards to lock in moisture and keep your skin hydrated all day (without the moisturizer the water will
just evaporate into the air).

2. Put concealer around your eyes

Putting a concealer in the corner of your eyes, on your eye lids as well as the usual below the eyes will brighten the area.

3. Blush Your Cheeks

Press a bit of blush onto your cheeks using your finger tips.

4. Quick Lips

Have Vaseline on hand always. Once you are done patting on your blush, add a bit of Vaseline to your finger tips (still with blush on them) and apply it to your lips. The pigment from the blush will mix with the Vaseline to give you a nice lip gloss that’s tinted to match your lips. It’s all about using the same products in different ways!

5. Always Wear Mascara

Mascara finishes your eyes to make them look polished and awake. It also frames your eyes to make perk them up.

6. Prepare your hair

Sleep with your hair in loose high bun, because it will help make any “bed head hair” much more maintainable in the morning.

7. Take a slightly colder shower

If you have time for a shower, make sure it is a little colder. Steam on the mirrors makes it harder to put your makeup on, so use cooler water or shower with the door open so the steam can escape, Shaw says.

8. Get a to-go bag

Shaw says invest in a small makeup bag to hold your everyday makeup and apply everything once you get to work.

9. Side-braid it

It’s all about the side-braid: If you don’t have time to curl or straighten your hair in the morning, give it a quick brush and braid it to the side. It takes only a few minutes and always looks fabulous–and like you put a lot of effort into it!

10. Tint it
Shaw says if you’re in a rush, skip doubling up on things like moisturizer, foundation, and powder and instead use a quick light bronzer or a tinted moisturizer.

Bonus: Always have one or two emergency outfits that can be you go-to’s when you don’t have time to plan something out.
