Hillary Clinton is an inspiration because she has gone from being the President's wife to taking control and pushing herself to the top. No matter how you start in life, you can always achieve your goals. You only need to be patient and work hard.

Hillary is an inspiration to me because she faces challenges head on and challenges do not discourage her from being a leader on the worldwide platform. Hillary is a great example of how to remain graceful and speak firmly about what you stand for.

Hillary is an inspiration because she's unafraid to broach difficult subjects, but also because she's encouraging of all women to run, not simply looking out for herself.

Hillary inspires me, a woman lawyer, to not waver on my values and integrity and to focus on being respected (as opposed to being liked).

Hillary has faced adversity in many ways, including public humiliation, and has thrive through them. She is a great leader with a lot of character. Definitely somebody to look up to as a role model.

Hilary Clinton will never go down in history as just a former first lady. She has championed for causes, served as an advocate, led the country in an important role as Secretary of State, served as one of the trusted advisors for the President all while also fulfilling the role of wife, mother and grandmother to be. She's shown that if you really want something there's nothing to be said that its not within reach, it is how you get to that point and what you do to achieve that goal or milestone is what counts.

Hillary Clinton has inspired me through her seemingly fearless and courageous spirit. I love the way that she is unafraid to lead in a room full of men. Politics has been male-dominated for quite some time and she inspires me to push myself. She's a supportive wife and mother but she manages to care for thousands of people through her work every day!

Hillary has inspired me to always be confident in myself after I've made a tough choice that may be unpopular with my peers. Even when others question my reasoning, I know that I, like Hillary, made the best choice I could in the situation, and I should never let anyone chastise me for doing what I think is right.

Hillary is direct because she speaks clearly and directly about issues, and doesn't let the media neatly fit her into a category. She's incredibly well-spoken, and uses her power to promote projects for women and girls around the world.

Hilary inspires me to be a strong, confident woman - no apologies needed!

Hillary Clinton has inspired me through her continual hard work and dedication for her country. She has handled her personal life as reported by the media masterfully and is changing how the media and public view women in power.

Hillary is an inspiration because she doesn't allow the negative comments to hold her back. She keeps her head high and does what she thinks is best. She is equal parts graceful and tough.

Hillary taught me to follow my dreams unashamedly, no matter what others may think or say. She's a modern-day trailblazer, no matter your politics. All women can look at her grace in continuing a very public life after a very public scandal, and learn that it is possible to rise from the ashes better, more successful - and as one kick-ass woman.

Hillary Clinton inspires me because of her composure and drive. She doesn't make excuses or run away from difficult situations - rather, she keeps her calm and always devises the most reasonable solution given the circumstances. She's unafraid to speak her mind and act confidently, which is how I hope to live my own life.

Hillary is an inspiration because she is a force. She's good at what she does, she speaks her mind, and all the while people listen to and respect her.

HRC has inspired me to OWN that pant suit (literally, for Halloween one year). But she's also taught me that as a woman it's okay to not always be "nice." Sometimes you have to risk other people calling you a b**ch in order to get meaningful work done.

Hillary inspires me because she never gives up. She has faced many setbacks but has always kept going. She is a wonderful role model to all, especially women.

Hillary's perseverance, steadfast flexibility, and unmatched poise are cherished qualities I hope to one day (sooner than later) emulate myself. This quote is one of many of hers that I think of often: "Always aim high, work hard, and care deeply about what you believe in. And, when you stumble, keep faith. And, when you’re knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can’t or shouldn’t go on." I've worked hard to get where I am (and where I continue to go), and with women like Hillary as role models I continue to have high hopes and lofty goals. Thanks for this opportunity, LL! :)

Her ability to adapt to change gracefully is why Hillary R. Clinton inspires me. Life, the world, and evolution as we know it is all about change. some people believe that life is survival of the fittest, or success is for the tenacious, but really its all about adapting to change regardless of how painful or powerful the moment. She has handled it all and taken ot with stride. Never allowing the pain or commotion to shake her focus. That is why she inspires me.

She has handled all the hardships in her life with grace and dignity. She is a wonderful role model for all woman who aspire to be educated, confident and gracious.

Hillary inspires me with her passion and commitment to women and girls around the world. She is a fearless leader who stands her ground to raise awareness on the issues she cares about. She inspires me to build a better world for women and girls in my own community.

Hillary is personally inspiring because of her confidence to challenge assumptions that make people uncomfortable in arguably the most positive way possible. In pursuit of disassembling those assumptions, she does not lose sight of her passion to relentlessly execute on her directives. As a result, she has pioneered a strong and unfaltering brand for herself with a faithful following among the American populous - a characteristic that is a requisite for any great leader.

Hillary Clinton is inspiring for her desire to bring women out from the shadows and promote our equality in the entire world!

I find it surprising in a way that now I see Hillary Clinton as inspiring and worthy to be considered as next president USA, as at one time (back in the 80s when I worked as state employee in Arkansas), I was not really happy with the Clintons. I did fully support President and First Lady Clinton during the presidential years, however, and Hillary's job as SOS. This is truly a hard job and she has done well, and treated political jabs with aplomb and grace. This, I find inspiring.

Hillary Clinton has inspired me because she embodies a strong woman and controls her own life. She is herself and continues to fight every day no matter how she is labeled or criticized. The most inspiring thing about her is that she pushes through to get the good work done and always has the betterment of the people in mind rather than the political gains for herself.

"Women's rights are human rights. Human rights are women's rights"

Hillary Clinton has inspired myself and others to be fearless. She has exemplified this through her many career moves. She has also encouraged us to embrace our womanhood, where so many tell us to abandon it to be successful in the corporate world. She has taught us that there is great value in being a woman and that we should never neglect that power. For doing so, would be diminishing our own self-worth.

Ms. Clinton is the ultimate definition of an independent woman and truly in an inspiration. She didn't let her title of being the First Lady stop her from achieving her own goals and dreams. She has a strong focus and determination that continuously drives her to success.

Hillary inspires me on so many different levels. She is a trailblazer of a legacy that will eventually take women of all different races, colors and creeds to new heights.

I was inspired after meeting Hillary several times throughout her last campaign for Presidency. As a college student,I joined her team and worked hard campaigning door to door for her here in South Carolina. Being from Massachusetts, I respected her persistence to succeed in such a strongly Republican dominated state. I have used this inspiration to pursue my post graduate career here in the South and also challenge sexism by lifting heavier weights than most of the men. Brains, braun, and beauty. I can't wait to work for Hillary again!

Hillary Clinton inspires me to be strong, to be heard, and to be unapologetic. She's an example of using your platform to advocate for good, and being resilient in the face of adversity.

Lindsay Bacher

She's had to put up with a lot of crap from a lot of people, and she's so unapologetic about her support for women and girls across the globe.

Regardless of her name and who her husband is she has inspired me because she is a woman. A woman who is a fighter. She is a leader. She has done one thing no other woman has, and that's to be a serious contender for the presidential election. Through all the challenges she has faced she keeps her head high and her heart strong. That is why she is an inspiration to me and all other females.

Hillary has taught me so much over the years. I don't even know where to begin. Mainly, she taught me to stand tall when the rest of the world is trying to take you down.

I really admire Hillary for saying to take criticism seriously but not personally. This is a really responsible way to learn from feedback but not internalize it as a personal attack (even if it was meant to be). Hillary has inspired me to no end...I feel so much stronger as a female leader because I have her to look up to. She's truly a champion for women and girls. Hillary's work with the Half The Sky organization solidified her status as my hero. I would be so grateful and proud to read and own her book, Hard Choices.

Hillary is an inspiration because she was able to take the traditional female role of First Lady and turn it into a enormously successful political career. By taking the stereotypical role given to women and turning it into something magnificent and empowering she is an inspiration to women everywhere that they can be and do anything. All I know is that I am #ReadyForHillary!!

Hillary faces adversity constantly and publicly in the most graceful, professional way possible. It goes without saying that she's intelligent and capable -- but what makes me truly admire her is the strength and poise with which she carries herself.

Hillary is an inspiration because she has always been very clear about what her priorities are and has not apologized for the decisions she has made. In a world where women are expected to "seek work-life balance" and act/react a certain way, she has always looked at the big picture and made decisions assuming the consequences, giving each situation the importance it deserves.

Hillary is an inspiration to all of us young females, teaching us to never give up and always pursue your passions, in the name of what is right!

Clearly her work as a politician has been incredible. But what inspires me more is her want and need to help others whether through the foundation or live broadcasts. You can truly see her love for humanity.

Because despite the hardships and obstacles she works on, rising to the top and showing woman everywhere what is possible!

Hilary Clinton has inspired me to give a voice to all women. She has also showed me that no matter what people think of you, your belief in yourself should be enough to propel you forward. She has the entire world examining her every move, but she always remains true to herself.

Hillary Clinton inspires me because she's had an extraordinary career despite all the obstacles that have come her way. I admire her strength, confidence and drive to make a difference in the world. Despite what people say about her, she keeps going, working harder than ever. And that is an inspiration!

She proves not only that behind every great man there is an even better woman, but also that they have the ability to rise to the occasion and showcase their greatness. She shows how hard work is the key to many successes.

Former Secretary Clinton has really epitomized the idea of paving the way for herself. I was quite young when the Clintons first entered the White House, but my initial impressions of her were that she was a dutiful partner--I can't honestly tell you how often I've thought of Bill Clinton's lasting effects over the past few years--and yet, I am constantly thinking of the legacy that Hillary has built for men and women alike. She is a tremendous role model for young women--politically-minded or not. She is also incredibly resilient, which I think is a trait that is crucial to manage for success.

Hillary doesn't inspire me just because she is a woman, and just because she continues to break barriers in the realm of politics. Don't get me wrong, those are both important things, especially to me since I want to work in politics. She is an inspiration to me because of her attitude and the way she carries herself with such grace and class. She keeps a can do all, and will do all attitude while at the same time remaining humble and grounded. She is a great example of how a person of stature should act.

Hillary Clinton is inspiring because of her example in listening to, learning from, and working for women worldwide. In her words, "Too many women in too many countries speak the same language of silence." Her dedication to changing that is admirable.

She's a complex, ambitious woman holding her own and in the public eye and she got there by speaking up and leveraging her skills and experience. She's amazing.

What I am most impressed with when it comes to Hilary is her adaptability, perseverance, raw intelligence, and her ability to stand proud as a woman and political figure. She can be serious, but does not take herself too seriously (e.g. the cell phone meme jokes). She knows who she is and appears extremely confident. I only hope that i can be like that one day, and hope that other women see her as a role model for what a woman can achieve.

Hillary has shown me what the quiet power of a woman really is, and that just because you live in a man's world doesn't mean you have to play by their rules. She's graceful under pressure, trusts herself, and is a great leader. I'd love to have her as my next president!

Just the fact that she is not only still standing, but thriving.

Hilary Clinton is an inspiration because she faces adversity and critics head on with grace.

I am continually impressed by Hillary Clinton. She is such a role model for me and other women of all ages because of her accomplishments in her career, in her volunteer work, and in her lifestyle. She faces challenges every day in politics - what has typically been 'a man's world.' She is breaking barriers for women everywhere to make educated decisions when it comes to "hard choices."

Hillary is an inspiration to me because she not only faces challenges head on but she discusses how those challenges are different for her because she is a women and how she fights through the negative feelings that come with challenges.

Hillary is a woman that is fighting for change. As an advocate for women's rights and reproductive health, she has become essential in influencing change in the United States. Despite backlash, she continues to defend women’s rights and serve as a role model to millions. She doesn't mind ruffling a few feathers, but does so with tact. Hillary has inspired me to be ambitious with my goals, stand strong for my values, and work hard for change, because she has proved that change is possible, and it is taking place.

Though almost all of our political views have us standing on opposite sides of the aisle, I find Hillary's determination and stedfast belief that she can change something bigger than herself, fascinating. Her ability to transcend the 'dowdy, submissive wife' tag the press placed upon her during Bill's administration and move into a position of global power and respect is incredibly inspiring to any woman who's faced hardships out of their control.

Hillary is amazing because, despite the criticism and remarks toward her gender, she continues to push forward and fight for what is right, not easy. We need more women in politics, and I think Hillary has been a great leader and advocate of this.

I am from a small town in Central New York. When I was in second grade, Hillary began her campaign for Senator of my home state. Even at such a young age, I somehow understood the impact that this had on not only my state, but the future of girls everywhere. I found all the resources that my 7-year old self could, and got a sincere understanding of Hillary's wishes and platforms. I would go to the teachers in the building and give them an elevator speech on why Hillary was the right choice for our senate. I think my 7-year old self thought that her win had something to do with my hard campaigning, but maybe not!

Seeing Hillary winning that seat at such a young age truly made be not even aware that there was a gender gap. It was so engrained within me from the beginning that I didn't see a difference between men and women getting power positions. I thought it was all fair game. I always beat out the boys in my class when it came to math flashcards. I always received the most accelerated reading points. I won dodgeball in gym. There wasn't much to overcome gender-wise, because in my world and what I could see at that time around me, we were all on equal playing fields.

I truly believe that Hillary Clinton and my early knowledge of her ambition has shaped me into the successful girl I am today. I don't worry about glass ceilings, because I know if there are any, I can break them. Just like Hillary did.

Hillary Clinton is an inspiration to me because despite her critics she gracefully puts aside the negativity to get the job done.

Hillary is an inspiration to me because her gender is secondary. She's a political juggernaut who oh, ya, happens to be a woman. Many women, myself included, find themselves eroding their own authority by making knee-jerk apologies. So, while she is brilliant and diplomatic, the trait of hers I most hope to adopt is her unapologetic leadership style.

Hilary is not afraid to call out the sexism in the press. When a reporter asked her about her taste in clothes, she responded, "Would you ever ask a man that question?"

Hillary is an inspiration to me because she's not defined by the labels media or her position at the time put on her. She's strong in her convictions and is passionate about the work she does.

Hillary has inspired me by demonstrating that there is no substitution for knowledge. I have been blessed to meet Hillary on several occasions and have always been impressed by her insight into various subject matters. As a result, this has inspired me to study hard while in school and remain educated throughout my career.

Hillary Clinton has inspired me to elevate my goals. As a woman and a Native American, it is a challenge to get my foot through the door, especially without being judged or criticized. Hillary inspires me to strive forward and focus on my own personal strengths to further me in my goals.

Ever since she was First Lady, she was a strong voice for change, to help make things better for Americans. She's never backed down from challenges. She's never taken no for an answer.

Hillary inspired me by finding common ground and joining forces with a former adversary, when she joined the current administration. She also took what was largely a ceremonial post (First Lady) and used it as a platform to advance her own beliefs on a larger stage. All of these are totally separate from what her political beliefs may be.

Secretary Clinton has inspired me by changing the conversation--about herself, about women, and about US foreign policy. She's refused to get dragged down by comments about hairbands and scrunchies and has instead taken us to a new level of policy that is focused on justice, data, and investment in women. Thanks to her, our country is now dedicated more than ever to investing in women worldwide as a way to grow the global economy. Yet she's not above a sense of humor--I keep a picture of her and Meryl Streep from Texts from Hillary (a project she fully acknowledged and enjoyed) in my office to remind me to rule the world and be awesome at it. I hope in my life to capture even a fraction of the intelligence and courage she has demonstrated, and to share that with the world as a leader fighting to change things for the better.

Hillary is an inspiration to me because she showed the world that it's perfectly fine not to follow a straight path in your career and to change focus multiple times without being a failure at any of them. She showed that you can do anything if you set your mind to it.

Hillary Clinton has inspired me not because of what she's done but all that she has not, because it was what was required of her. She has sacrificed a great deal to maintain composure, status, and her vision. A strong reminder in how much it takes to become an accomplished woman.

Hillary has inspired me because I have often competed in male dominated sectors but, I don't consider myself "one of the boys." I consider myself to be a powerful woman (regardless of who or what I am up against) and one with a killer suit.

Laura Skladzinski

Hillary has shown me that women can do anything they set their mind to.

She stood proud and strong during the Monica L saga. Not once did she show a victim mentality. Instead she proved to be a strong independent woman comfortable in her own skin

I had the honor of working under Secretary Clinton's leadership during an internship at the State Department. Politics is still very much a man's world but being able to work under such a strong female leader at such an influential time in my career made it the best internship of my life. I was only in a (very large) room with her (and about a billion other people) for a short moment but I'll never forget that summer and the impact it had on my career.

Hillary spoke at my school last year where she challenged the crowd to push beyond our fears and to build up a thick skin as we pursue our goals. Her story has helped me learn NOT to shy away from my own ambition and to recognize the positive impact I can have, regardless of negative circumstances around me.
