In case you haven't heard, the government was shut down over the weekend. Now the Senate is voting at noon to decide whether they will be reopening it or not but it is not looking too promising. This is actually the 19th time since 1976 that the U.S. government has shut down so it has happened before and we will get through it but you should know how it impacts your daily life. WalletHub today released its report on the States Most & Least Affected by the 2018 Government Shutdown to help provide you with some data by looking at each state’s share of federal jobs and contracts to the percentage of kids covered by CHIP. Basically reds states are less affected than blue states on average and if you have more federal jobs in your state that makes things more complicated. Here's what they found:
