MAEC is a multi-project non-profit education organization.
Grant writing -- Work with the team to write and edit grant applications and project reports, primarily responsible for budget and budget narratives, final edits, and submission of grant applications:
• Federal: U.S. Dept. of Education Technical Assistance Center (5-year, $3.1 mil. total); Comprehensive Assistance Center (5-year, $22.49 mil. total w/partner organization); Investing in Innovation program (6 pre-apps/3 full applications, 3-5 years, $2 mil.-$3 mil.)
• State: 2 5-year and 1 summer MD state grant under the 21st Century Community Learning Center program ($1.5 mil., $1.3 mil., $44K); 3 School Improvement Grants (varied); 1 National Professional Development grant (co-applicant, in progress)
• Local: 3 Community Support for Schools grants with Baltimore City
• Corporate/Foundation: Kellogg Fouindation, Heising-Simons Foundation, David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Honda Foundation, Fordham Street, NBC4

Editing/Writing: Established publishing protocols to meet highest standards of writing, editing, and publishing. Contribute to the Ed Equity blog. Edit organization materials, such as:
• “¡Adelante! Moving Forward: A Guide to Empower Parents of English Learners to Advocate for Their Children,” 2015
• “Paving the Way to College and Careers: Families and Schools Together,” 2012

Financial Management:
• Manage overall organization budget and the integrated, overlapping fiscal years of 1 federal-funded project ($657K annually), 2 state-funded projects ($317K & $299K annually), and contracts
• Conduct annual budget audit with external auditor and accountant (FY12, FY13, FY14, FY15)
• Established financial protocols to oversee varying reporting requirements of funders, grantors, and clients when revenue increased from <$1 million to $2.3 million
• Attended Nonprofit Montgomery FIRM Financial Training, Spring 2016
