New Job

Youth Commission

Youth Commission

Youth Leader

On Youth Commission I guide middle and high schoolers in discussions and conversations, lead them in games, and teach them on religion, moderate ancient history, and similar topics. This job requires interaction with peers as well as students.

South Carolina Yacht Club

Assistant Sailing Instructor

This job entails teaching children to sail Optimist dinghys. Involved in that job is not only teaching them to sail, but teaching them how to rig, unrig, clean, and store these boats. During the summer I also on occasion assisted the 420 instructor, learning a great deal from that post.

US Sailing

It is currently (February 12, 2016) my intention to take a Small Boat Instructor Level 1 course at Camp Sea Gull on May 31- June 3, 2016

SCYC Learn To Sail Program

During this week long course I learned to sail a 420 with proficiency. This was important because although I had much experience sailing, little of it was in a 420.

Ambassador Camp

This job was at a camp where I worked three weeks over the summer. At this job I worked in the kitchens, on the grounds, and facilitated the councilors in their jobs.

Boater License

This certification allowed me to operate a power boat over fifteen horsepower without an adult while under the age of sixteen.

Thurlow Homeschool

I am a Homeschooled teenager with a overall average of A-. My subjects are Math, Writing, History, Biology, English, Latin, and Art. I am currently on course to graduate in May 2018.
