Pepper Rutland attended Louisiana State University from 1968-1792. While at LSU, Pepper was an outside linebacker as well as captain of the defense for the Tigers. He was also a member of the All SEC Academic Team which is also captained in 1972. Pepper prides himself in being one of the first graduates of the Construction Technology and Engineering program.
The Miracle League at Cypress Mounds is a nonprofit organization makes it possible for children with mental and physical disabilities to play baseball as part of a team in an organized league. Participants play alongside 9 other fields of Little Leaguers and become apart of the baseball community. The field has been custom designed and is accessible to everyone.
