Academic Coordinator of the Game Production Course

Developing and coordination of the pioneering Game Production course at the SAE Athens campus.

The “Game Production” course is designed with a modular approach in order to be able to adapt to this fast pace evolving relatively new industry. The main idea of the curriculum is to create a course not only able to create individuals of high integrity and knowledge of the craft of making games, but to also give the tools and insight on the game development process in order to arm the students with skills needed for a modern production pipeline, of any size.

Students should be able to design a game, test the games rules, research the platforms and technologies the game will use and be implemented on, and hire, manage and outsource any individual needed for the project to be completed.

On top of that the students will be equipped with the scientific basic knowledge of computer science, psychology of players, theory of fun, project management, sensations and perception of the human mind & body and be able to start-up their own teams and projects right out from the beginning of their career.

Students will also dive into the depths of the game development business, learn the paths to entrepreneurship and how to pitch their ideas to publishers, crowd-funding or even publish their own work or the work of others by creating a publishing label.

Designer and Main Lecturer of Sound Design for Games and Film

The SAE Technology Institute department of Athens. I designed and developed a complete curriculum of theoretical and practical studies of the "Sound Design for Games and Film" short course. The course focuses on training Audio Engineers of Diploma and Bachelor Degrees into the art and science of Sound design for Non-Linear and Linear Media. I use a tool-agnostic approach based on the techniques, practices and culture of the discipline, in fusion with knowledge regarding the sensation and perception of the audience and the various platforms strengths and weaknesses, in order to give the student the most complete picture available regarding the industry's past, present and future. The practical part takes the students form practicing simple tasks, such as optimizing audio files for low-resources platforms (like mobile, etc), to the completion of their own sound library, a film scene full with effects, Foley and dialog and a complete project in Fmod or Wwise.

I'm also responsible for the research and design of the audio pipeline, mechanics and tools of the company.

Within a two years span, and while being in charge of the entire project, I managed to deliver a fully organized and productive department.
