Digital Marketing Manager at Mike Shaw Subaru
While at Klein Buendel, I was able to dive into media and health research. My duties as Grants Assistant included:
Conducting literature reviews, analyzing secondary research and preparing grant applications for the National Institutes of Health and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.
Prepare marketing plans for SBIR grant applications.
Maintain Klein Buendel’s social media and website content.
Coordinating marketing efforts for nutrition and sun safety curriculum.
Formatting and submitting research manuscripts to peer-reviewed academic journals.
Restructuring Klein Buendel’s library, library database filing structure, and Reference Manger software to meet information access needs of senior research scientists, project managers and research assistants.
I started working at Klein Buendel as a summer intern in May 2009. During my internship, I created a marketing plan for a gardening and nutrition curriculum that KB was in final stages of creating. The highlight of the internship, was being able to actually pitch the curriculum to a local education consortium in my hometown. When the internship was completed, I stayed on at Klein Buendel and began doing market research for their new products
I began working at The Johnstown Breeze as a summer intern and was promptly hired as a production assistant. While at the Breeze, I was trained by an award-winning staff and quickly learned how to sell and design ads for local businesses. I owe my love of graphic design and Photoshop to the small town newspaper. My biggest accomplishment from this time-period is winning first place for a black and white ad from the Colorado Press Association. In addition, I learned the value and proper delivery of customer relations from Breeze Publisher, Leslie Bangert.
