Receive emergency/non-emergency calls from the public requesting police, fire, medical or other emergency services. Dispatch police, fire, ambulance or other emergency units as necessary. Maintain contact with all units on assignment, maintain status and location of police and fire units. Enter, update and retrieve information from a variety of computer systems including, Idacs/NCIC, Spillman Technologies and Sentinel 911. Process requests for information regarding vehicle registrations, driving records, warrants and disseminate pertinent data. Manage all police files, including accidents reports and police citations. Run background checks and process gun permits.
