Girl Scouts of Connecticut is the largest organization of women and girls in Connecticut, serving over 47,300 girls. Legislative Clerk for Council on Medical Assistance Program Oversight

I coordinate the Medicaid Council and Its Committees Meetings. I work directly with Legislators, Staff, Providers, Physicans, State agencies and Advocates on advisement and oversight of State Department of Social Services Medicaid Husky Program.

-Responsible for coordinating Council meetings and 7 Committe meetings for the Connecticut General Assembly.
- Answer and direct inquires of constiutents, advocates, providers, stakeholders, and state agencies.
-Work closely with legislators, providers, advocates, and stakeholders who provide oversight to the State administered Medicaid Husky Health Insurance.
-Committees include: Medicaid Council, Executive Committee, Quality Improvement, Consumer Access, Women's Health, Care Management PCMH, Complex Care, and Model Design.
- Track policy changes and transmittals within the state goverment system.
-Assist Public Health Committee with bill tracking and public hearings.

I was on the front lines of SSA. I answered and directed inquries about Social Security benefits. Issued SS Card Applications. Scheduled appointments for benefits. Took information down to help determine eligibility for disability, SSI, SS, and Retriement benefits. Supported Claims Staff.

- Collect information about Retirement benefits for beneficiaries.
-Send documents and case files to ODAR.
-Verify wages and employers to calculate retirement benefit.
-Inform visitors of Social Security benefits and answer questions.
-Accurately process applications for Social Security and Medicare cards.
-Assess needs, answer inquiries and direct visitors to appropriate representative.
-Support Service, Claims and Technical Representatives in daily work.
