Noluthando Duma is a 2015 Mandela Washington Fellow under the Young African Leaders Initiative, a flagship program of President Barack Obama. She is the co-founder of Kujenga Projects (Kujenga is a Swahili word that means to build) which is a non-profit organisation that is centred around building communities through mentorship, innovative projects and initiatives to make an impact in South Africa and Africa as a whole. Noluthando Duma is a medical technologist based at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) in Johannesburg South Africa. This is a non-profit organisation that is highly involved in research and surveillance of HIV and meningitis with the World Health Organization. She has extensive project management experience through the work that she has done in her community.
