Handled a large volumes of people coming off the slopes getting a quick bite to eat and heading back out on the mountain. Greeting the tables with chips, salsa, and water, followed by getting drink orders, putting it in the system for the bartender, food order, 6 table section
As lead waitress I managed a team of coworkers to provide the best customer experience possible with clear goals and open communication. This increased efficiency and ultimately netting a larger income by saving on mistakes and having a larger number of repeat customers.
I was a Office Manager with a small business owner. I managed the office phone calls setting appointments for a team of three men to be on multiple jobs that were located all over Uinta and neighboring counties. I also managed payroll, quarterly taxes, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
In my duties I opened before lunch and dinner by preparing the dinning area. I greeted and seated walk in customers, orchestrated the dinning area between the walk in customers and reservations, including large private and corporate parties.
I communicated and executed with limo destinations and special instructions. Taking responsibility of up to thirty drivers per day. Organizing drivers, time, vehicles, pick ups and drop offs of guests all over the Wasatch Front. Coordinated with flight schedules, weather, arriving and departing guests. In the position I learned to apply the skills of responsibility for my actions and a greater ability to serve a large number of customers and drivers.
As a tour guide I was educated on Alaska's local flora and fauna, mountains, animals, and culture. Having the proper knowledge of the area would help me relate to the guests I accompanied on our daily wagon tours. I would educate them all about the local area, on our horse drawn wagon tour. Which was followed by a home style cooked meal about a mile out from the start of the tour. We would take photos of the guests with the horses always insuring safety. Then we would take the group back to the club house.
As a waitress I worked in a 5 star restaurant in which I was highly educated on the menu (wines, beers, and desserts). Our goal was to never have to have a guest ask you for anything. This location was a tourist attraction just outside of Denali National Park in which we wanted their trip to Alaska at Black Diamond Resort to be memorable.
