Nick Lioudis

Deputy Editor

Financial Investment News

There's nothing extraordinary about solid journalism. It's about being right, being first and at times, being annoying. Proud to be serving as the medium for the message for over a decade.

Financial Investment News (FIN)

Deputy Editor

I was the first editorial hire at FIN in 2007 and am now managing a growing team of reporters, research analysts and headaches related to overseeing daily and weekly editorial content. The world of institutional investing is ridiculously interesting, and if you have copious amounts of time and coffee, I'd love to tell you everything I've learned covering it for nearly a decade.

The New School

MS, Nonprofit Management

I delved into the relationship between nonprofit diversity policies and the inclusion of women- and minority-owned asset management firms into their investments for my graduate thesis. One takeaway: fundraising should be added to the next Olympics as a competitive sport.

The Star-Ledger

I had the opportunity to be surrounded by amazing journalists for two years after getting my start spending my Saturday mornings carrying stacks of newspapers to the newsroom for the editorial and microfilm departments. I literally broke my back for this newspaper. Fine, not literally, but you get my point.

Seton Hall University

BA, Journalism

If being part of an intimate, high-level program is hip, then call me the Miles Davis of journalists. Fun facts: SHU is located in South Orange, N.J., which is one of many Orange-named cities in the state. Also, if someone yells, "Cluck-U!" at you near campus they're not being rude, just excited about spicy-sauced chicken. Reading and writing for a living = doing what I love. If a history-turned journalism major can make it, anyone can. Heed that sloth's call!

What I'm Listening To These Days

Joy + Agony - Reason = Seton Hall Basketball

Seton Hall basketball is not for the faint of heart. When I'm not rooting for my alma mater's football team (non-existent/undefeated at 0-0), I love to place my hands over the majority of my eyes and "watch" them play basketball.
