> Manage a team of 9 iSeries RPG SAP, AP and JAP developers.
> Support the implementation of the IT strategy in line with agreed timescales.
> Manage problems and issues arising from projects; escalating issues to the Senior Manager as necessary
> Ensure the service provided by the team is in accordance with the agreed service levels between the functions within IT Systems and the business
> Ensure the KPIs used are aligned to business needs.
> Ensure solutions are delivered to agreed standards.
> Drive continuous improvement to speed of response, quality of activity and productivity of the team.
> Assist the support of systems utilised by assigned areas of the business, ensuring the timely resolution of problems arising.
> Liaise with key stakeholders in the business to ensure that the service being provided is in line with the agreed key priorities and to the agreed timescales.
> Ensure IT Systems Development Schedule is delivered to a high quality, to time and budget and delivers the agreed requirements.
> Ensure effective communication and cooperation with other IT (and Business) managers and departments to resolve problems / issues and further enhance the IT development services provided to the business.
> Assist and support the Senior Manager in the general running of the department where required.
> Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the adopted working practices and standards within the department.
> Lead, motivate and develop the team engendering a collaborative culture where talent is recognised and encouraged.
> Full appraisal, coaching and line management of team members.
> Ensuring clear direction is provided to team members and that tasks / resources are allocated appropriately.
> Coaching in recruitment of team as required.
> Ensure the team have the skills and necessary tools to develop fully tested and reliable solutions.
