Nathalie Michelle

Author/Speaker/Purpose Coach

I have a portfolio career and branched out into the empowerment sphere when I wrote and published my first motivational book, Deep Waters: Trusting God When Your Feet Can’t Touch Bottom, published under my pen name, Nathalie Michelle. I'm passionate about helping women and teens identify, activate, and launch their unique gifts and talents despite painful life interruptions and roadblocks. I used my personal story of finding joy after painful turmoil and seek to provide support, tools, and strategies that helped me get to the other side and thrive. I've attended and hosted various speaking engagements in the social, faith-based, and educational communities and use a transparent, story-telling style to connect with my audience. I initiated my national book tour and appeared on various media platforms (i.e. Internet radio, television) in 2016. I'm currently preparing to launch my coaching platform aimed providing specific support in an individual and online small group setting.

Spelman College

Bachelor of Arts, English

Choosing Spelman was one of the first major decisions I made in my life. As a first-generation American and college student, education was a pretty big deal. I stepped into the unknown and moved from my native New York city to Atlanta. I learned how to stand on my own, defend my beliefs, thrive in community, and build upon the historic legacy my college was founded on. I chose to study English and expand my writing skill set whilst taking advantage of service opportunities and study abroad in the Dominican Republic. I took advantage of every scholarship and learning opportunity I had access to. I continue to give back and have mentored fellow Spelman sisters and high school students; thereby maintaining my life's creed: "lift as you climb."

Mercer University

Masters of Arts , Teaching/Early Childhood Education

I attended Mercer in order to gain more content knowledge in the field of early childhood education. During my time there, I was introduced to Gardner's Theory of the Multiple Intelligences which served as the core of my teaching model. I was exposed to revolutionary ways to conduct student assessment, check for understanding, and behavior management. One of my favorite takeaways was cross-curricular teaching- a practice I plan to incorporate in my own educational organization in the future. I successfully graduated with a 4.0 despite enduring a painful and abrupt life interruption. I continue to apply what I learned both in and out of the classroom.

Private French Client

Educational Consultant

I packed my bags and moved to France in late 2013. Prior to my arrival, I did not speak the language, nor did the family I was contracted to work with speak English. I enrolled in the Université de Poitiers and became fluent within 3 months. I continued my studies while simultaneously creating and teaching an English Language curriculum to my 3 charges.
