University of Southern California

Master's, Creative Writing

At USC, I had the honor of studying under the likes of Janet Fitch and MG Lord, honing my craft through personal essays and short stories. I was also accepted on a full teacher scholarship that allowed me to teach freshman writing, a class I took as an undergrad just five years earlier. Being a college teacher at age 23 was just as educational as my Master's program!

University of Southern California

Bachelor's, Public Relations + Theatre

Even though I don't really "use" either of my degrees for my day job, I learned a lot about getting outside my comfort zone and promoting myself as an author and writer, which I do need to do from time to time. At USC, I met great friends and learned a lot about myself, which is what college is all about!
