I knew Elon would enrich my life the minute I walked on campus, from the outstanding facilities to endless extra curricular opportunities. Aside from Greek Life and involvement within communications organizations, I had opportunities to intern, develop relationships with professors as well as take a selfie on stage at graduation with famed Elon University President, Leo Lambert.
During my time at Elon, I continued to develop my love for advertising, majoring in Strategic Communications in the McEwen school of Communications. During my time at Elon, I was a Team Leader on the Durham Arts Council account at Live Oak Communications, the student run integrated communications agency. I worked with a group of student Account Executives to execute a statewide PR campaign for the non-profit. Additionally, we ran successful research during events and presented analysis post events.
Additionally, as both an Admissions Intern and University Tour Guide, I had the opportunity to serve as a communications liaison between prospective families and the university. Additionally, I created and gave presentations to potential applicants at "Evening with Elon" events throughout the Northeast.
I was a Mars Brand Intern at Trone Brand Energy in Greensboro, NC during which I helped to develop content for media pitches, as well as social platforms. I also developed media outreach strategies for blogger relations.
