Director of Global Impact

Dermalogica

As Director of Global Impact for LA-based skin care brand, Dermalogica, the number one professional skin care company, I oversee Dermalogica’s social impact initiatives and run their foundation, Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship (FITE), which seeks to empower women and girls. In this role, I have the unique opportunity to think about how a brand can make a positive impact in the world, creating on-the-ground programs in partnership with NGO's to economically empower women.

Career

"No to Yes"

The Dermalogica Foundation's FITE (Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship) programs invest in the potential of women and girls by creating pathways to entrepreneurship.

"Gender is not a deciding factor in what you can and cannot do"

A+E Networks

Public Affairs & Advocacy Specialist

At A+E, I developed and managed multi-platform media campaigns advocating for issues affecting women and their families surrounding Lifetime’s programming, PSA's and legislative initiatives while maintaining relationships with non-profit and government agencies nationwide. My favorite project was working on the nation's only bi-partisan 2012 Presidential election initiative at the RNC and DNC to engage women in the political process – participation is key to change!

Inspiring Voices of Change

The women we work with all over the world fuel and inspire me. I saw the power of elevating one voice in a young South African woman Jamie-Lee, one of the first in her town to go to University, she is now practicing family law to fight for women's rights where she grew up. She brings the work full circle & inspires all of us.
