Leading and motivating the entire transport team and responsible for looking after 45 vehicles with refrigerator & 65 drivers which run on a 24 hour basis, On call out of hours and at weekends to deal with any urgent matters
Responsible for getting the right products in the right quantities, to the right locations all at the right time.
In-charge of the day to day operations of the transportation department.
Efficiently managing a team of drivers and vehicles as well includes 3PL.
Responsible for all of the planning, dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles.
Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures
Managing, monitoring and developing a team of drivers and field consultants.
Involved in strategic development and strategy making.
Being the first point of contact for all drivers.
Making sure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained, serviced (PMS) and washed.
Arranging for the induction, familiarization and training off all new staff.
Maintaining accurate administrative records (PMS, Baseline process, DQMP & KPI).
Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.
Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
Appraising staff performance and also taking disciplinary measures, PIP when required.
Responsible for all H&S investigations.
Maintaining collision reports with diagram
Ensures 99 % fleet availability at all times to meet operational requirements.
Designs & Implements fleet quality and safety improvement programs.
Ensuring for 250 delivery routes (weekly) to our customers without fail
Responsible for Vehicle Space Utilization, Vehicle Time Utilization, On-Time, Off-load rate (cases/hour), Driver Utilization.
Controlling 3rd Party Hiring expenditure, Service & Special recovery and late arrivals & Urgent re-call delivery.
