As the Systems Administrator for 60 users across company branches this position required an ability to prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment to satisfy internal customer demands. Projects included:
• Setting up site-to-site VPNs to connect satellite offices to Head Office.
• Standardising PC builds using ghosting technology to deploy Windows OS and applications.
• Planning, testing and implementing Disaster Recovery procedures and infrastructure, including installation and configuration of an enterprise back-up and recovery software solution and establishment of an off-site recovery suite.
Additionally, I provided 1st and 2nd level support for clients who used the in-house developed IT Service Management software package. This required dealing with technical analysts from large public and private sector clients including Aspir,HMC . I developed excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, which were essential when explaining problems to developers and solutions to customers.
