The Archer School for Girls

History Teaching Associate

After doing a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in Spain, I found my passion for teaching adolescents. It was when I returned to Los Angeles that I found a home at The Archer School for Girls. I have realized that the emotional intelligence that benefitted me in other places has been central to my growth as a teacher here.

Fulbright España alumna

One of the most formative experiences of my life was being selected as a Fulbright grantee to Spain. Besides the professional growth I had, the international mindset we developed shapes every aspect of my life today.

Bachelor of Arts, History

After two years of community college, I transferred to UCLA. Participating in the Academic Advancement Program's Transfer Summer Program and becoming a tutor with BruinCorps helped make me feel welcomed. What shaped me the most were the classes with empowered female professors, like Dr. Waugh and Dr. Corey. I aspire to have the grit and intellect that they have.

Master of Arts , Teaching - TESOL

There were many valuable skills I developed while at USC. In addition to improving my teaching, I harnessed my leadership skills through the USC TESOL Society, which I served as the Vice President for. I also served on the USC TESOL Advisory board shortly after graduation, providing feedback for the formation of new graduate programs.
