Responsible for development and design of packing equipment for global air care projects, as well as the delivery of any North American scope. This includes creation of global equipment standards, technical oversight and project management of both global and regional projects, cross functional technical team leadership for upstream innovation and downstream optimization.

In addition to my primary responsibilities, I am the engineering owner for the business unit’s Academia & Innovation Partnership Program

Have worked extensively with internal and external resources in Singapore, China, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Japan, Spain, Germany, UK, and Belgium.

Start Up Manager

Lead the startup of an onsite packaging material supplier by integrating a globally diverse team with core team members located in Beijing, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, and Portugal including 19 different resources of 10 different nationalities.

Site Packaging Manager

Led the development and implementation of an on-site technical packaging department. This included the creation and roll out of foundational work systems, as well as securing necessary resources.

As the department leader, I ensured the team met our obligations to the other functions and external suppliers. The department was acted as the liaison between central R&D and the plant for initiatives. In addition, we owned supplier material quality, packaging material cost savings, and technical capability building. This range of responsibilities required a daily focus for material/machine interaction issues and a long term focus for systemic fixes and initiative delivery.

Distillation Process Engineer

The Sacramento plant was a chemical manufacturing facility that produced fatty alcohols, fatty acids, and fatty esters.

As the process engineer, I was responsible for leading the process area to deliver on all the key result areas and had over 20 direct reports. In addition, I was responsible for technical troubleshooting, capability building, rolling out and adapting Toyota Production Systems to a 50 year old chemical plant, and was the SPOC and area start up leader for all distillation projects.
