Humber NHS Foundation Mental Health Trust
Health care assistant
September 2010 — Present
Whilst studying my mental health nurse training, I worked as a casual health care assistant on a variety of mental health units such as acute admission wards, treatment wards and challenging behaviour wards, both in adult and older adult settings. My main responsibilities and duties where to help contribute to maintain a safe and productive environment and would include tasks such as undertaking supportive observations, escorting patients off the ward (if appropriate), assisting with personal care and meals and creating a therapeutic relationship with patients.
