Performed a variety of shipping/receiving, pricing, coordinates stocking and other retail sales activities for the college bookstores and other locations. Maintained the accuracy of inventory in assigned categories. Processed and distributed documentation with purchase orders. Operated a computer and cash register while performing customer services such as buybacks, refunds, charges, selling and other customer assistance. Assisted students, faculty, and other customers to locate books, supplies and related materials while maintaining current knowledge of courses and syllabi. Maintained bookstore departments as assigned and ensured orderliness and cleanliness of inventory. Performed complex technical and clerical duties related to purchasing supplies and materials while retaining knowledge of retail sales procedures, shipping and receiving procedures, inventory procedures, methods of invoicing, including discounts and taxes. Developed an atmosphere to provide services to students within the residence halls to receive help on written documents. Trained to analyze writing in terms of six fundamental conditions adapted from Donald Murray's book Write to Learn. Assisted visitors to acquire approaches, strategies, and attitudes toward writing that mean success, that result in clear, meaningful, and powerful writing. Assisted writers in the writing process, from conception and organization of compositions to revision to documentation of research and creative writing.
