Lead Child & Youth Program Assistant, Middle School & Teen

o Supervises and tutors youth in 6th to 12th grade in groups and on a one-on-one basis.
o Plans curriculum and activities based on youth leadership, healthy lifestyles, art, recreation, science, and
community service in accordance with Department of Defense regulations and in partnership with the
Boys & Girls Club of America.
o Coordinates field trips, special events, socials, and lock-ins for up to 50 youth.
o Manages other program assistants to work as a team to solve youth behavioral issues, to plan a monthly
calendar, and to coordinate daily schedules. Served as manager on duty for the facility when supervisors
were not in the building.
o Accompanies youth leaders to conferences in other cities and states. Serve as a chaperone and mentor in
their experience and growth during the conferences.
o Converses with parents regarding their youth, program information, and assistance in solving problems
in face-to-face and electronic settings.
o Assists in front desk duties such as working with customers, answering the phone, and filing.
o Contributes to the marketing of the program regarding designing signs and information to be put out to
the target audience on paper and online.
o Increased the daily attendance of the after school program from an average of 5 to 25.
