When I was a senior at the Penn, I wondered about all the different charging cables we use with our electronic devices. I asked myself the question: would it be possible to charge portable electronics wirelessly? In this video, I talk about the story of how I made this discovery, and what's next for uBeam.

I represented NASA at various science/technology/engineering/mathematics (STEM) events. My job was to engage and inspire students interested in STEM research, aerospace education, and space exploration with the goal of accelerating the growth and development of NASA. I won a NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant in 2011.

I used 1.7 billion year old calcium carbonate stromatolites to research Raman Spectroscopy as a technique for future Mars rovers in the detection of organics in Martian rocks with Dr. Chris McKay, Dr. Bin Chen, and Zuki Tanaka. I was the NASA Astrobiology Institute Research Scholarship Recipient.
