Esko, a Danaher Corporation Company
August 2014 — Present
In the past, prior to taking on the Analyst role I always looked at data as ‘a necessary evil’. Now I realize that Marketing Strategy and Planning can’t move forward without the insights that data brings to the equation. Data is one of the most important parts of campaign planning; the data provides insights to campaign planning that is necessary for Content to be developed. For Campaign planning – it is important to analyze the data: the audience, the job functions within the audience, the industry segments, the firmographics for the companies within a target, etc.. before moving ahead. Content and Data go hand in hand; you can’t have one without the other!
Above managing, retrieving, and analyzing data for campaigns, my duties also entail generating reports from Salesforce and MS Excel-Pivot Table reporting. To date, my favorite data analysis projects’ to work on are market penetration projects/reports. Having access to the tools to pull the Total Addressable Market matched to industry segments, and measure it against Esko’s known accounts is crucial. This type of project provides fantastic insights into Esko’s market penetration across various industries. From the data insights, educated decisions can be made and it helps to define the Strategy and Planning for our Marketing Department/Business unit. This is crucial to the planning phase in our overall strategy.
Lastly, at Esko we have a strong, culturally diverse organization that believes in helping each other succeed. I am truly blessed to work with such a diverse, knowledgeable, and talented team of individuals.
