Manager of Content Strategy and Globalization

As a member of SAVO’s Product Management Department, I am responsible for defining and executing the technical documentation and the global content strategies for SAVO’s internal and external customers, assessing documentation and content needs for SAVO’s applications and assuming a lead role in decision making regarding best practices with new processes, procedures, and technology required for creating an excellent documentation and content strategy.

Also I am responsible for the future implementations and support of globalization technology and global information management (GIM) technology tools and processes, to provide strategic direction and cross-functional communication globally on the subject of globalization and GIM technology and processes, to create and track projects, generate workflows, troubleshoot, managing translation memories and glossaries, to implement globally aligned processes to produce consistent, predictable results, to provide strategy for optimizing the globalization and GIM technology and processes that are currently implemented at SAVO, to provide strategy and direction for the evolution of SAVO’s globalization, and to work closely with all SAVO departments (US and in-country).

Contracted by the Business Optimization Team to review document the Project Solar warranty claims and accounting (Oracle) global processes and procedures as BP Solar migrates from the solar panel industry. Currently supporting the systematic management and improvement of end-to-end (E2E) processes, processing documentation efforts associated with existing processes and new business integration into the BSC, reviewing the existing BP Solar Purchase-to-Pay and Record-to-Report global (US, UK, Australia/New Zealand, Spain, France (including its territories (Martinique, French Polynesia, and Guadeloupe)), Germany, and Italy) WebEx-captured accounting process and procedure documentation, “shadowing” the BP team members to capture and record the global differences in handling (receipt (AR) and payment (AP)) solar warranty claims as well as customer support for all countries involved. Creating step-by-step instructions for the accounting (Oracle and Seybold), customer databases (SalesForce.com and eMaintenance), assisting in translating global WebEx recordings (Spain and Italy), support domestic and internal entities in documenting and supporting the processes and procedures utilizing BP templates. This position was to work in the MobileMedia Department at Motorola Mobile Devices group. My main function was to coordinate the localization of in-device help applications for various types of cell phones to global clients.
