• Formulated PR plans for internal initiatives (fall recruitment and cookie season) and produced assets for multiple national campaigns.
• Handled incoming PR requests by liaising with journalists, writing talking points, prepping CEO Anna Maria Chavez and staffing her during interviews.
• Built foundational documents, like fact sheets, one pagers and press releases. Wrote blog posts, all-staff memos and official statements.
• Created a spreadsheet of famous former Girl Scouts, and worked with an external agency to vet a list of 100 potential former Girl Scouts.

—Managed multiple accounts, including the American Homebrewers Association, Taste of Home, Dear Doctor magazine and BlackSocks.
—Garnered top-tier press hits for clients in The New York Times, Huffington Post, NPR, Yahoo! News, AP, Bloomberg Businessweek, Denver Post and more.
—Launched a "Save the Bees" campaign for Bee Raw honey that got tweets from Samuel L. Jackson, Mario Batali and Christy Turlington.
—Created a social media strategy plan for Bee Raw to increase engagement, and wrote all social media content for multiple platforms.
—Designed and publicized multiple social media contests for magazine brands, drawing an average of 3,000 entries per contest.
—Provided media training to clients for print and broadcast interviews. Wrote a document of interview basics and hosted in-person training.

—Managed multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Tumblr, StumbleUpon, Pinterest, Quora and Foursquare.
—Engaged and built online communities. Ran a Twitter with a following of more than 275,000 and quadrupled the Facebook fan base to more than 16,000 in six months.
—Wrote and posted all content across each platform, including an average of 150 tweets per day and 15 Facebook posts per day.
—Developed connections with and pitched bloggers in the political sphere to get stories placed in order to increase reach and viewership.
—Tracked analytics using HootSuite, Buffer, Crowdbooster, Facebook Analytics and Google Analytics. Made weekly and monthly reports.
—Covered parties, events, receptions and celebrity appearances in D.C. by taking pictures, finding scoops and writing articles.

—One of 23 in a program run by Sylvia and Leon Panetta; attended weekly lectures with D.C.’s top politicians, journalists and lobbyists.
