I act as a resource for residents and am often available to help solve problems or provide reference to other university agencies; in addition, I help to plan fun and educational activities and programs to foster community development and build connections among residents. Finally, I help to enforce housing policies to maintain safe and comfortable living spaces, as well as various other administrative tasks.

I work with female substance abuse offenders who are on probation in a community correctional facility. I assist with medication distribution and handling, urine and breath analysis, and tracking the women's whereabouts and activities.

I conduct experiments to gain more insight into the best means by which to improve the brain function of stroke survivors; this is done through inducing infarct in rats' brains, injecting a scaffolding, and comparing histology and a pre and post operation test of gross and fine motor skills. My specific project details into a comparison of fine motor tests to produce best indicator of injury and recovery. Techniques used include: survival surgery, rat handling, CV staining, microtome sectioning, Fiji/ImageJ tracing.

Recreational Therapy Intern

I implement activities for children and adults with developmental disabilities based on their active treatment needs; communicating with occupational therapy, physical therapy, medical staff and programming coordinators. I kept records and maintain a safe environment for residents.

National 4-H Council

Program Assistant

I led trips for 4-H high school and middle school aged youth into the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, providing commentary on points of interest. I facilitated educational workshops, which included curriculum development and creation; focusing on leadership and citizenship.
