Grampus & Heritage

Archaeological Excavator in Bulgaria

For the month of August in 2013 I was working as part of a team of 6 students selected from UK Universities excavating a Roman bath site and a Thracian Temple Complex site in Hissarya, Bulgaria. This was part of a skills exchange program overseen by Grampus & Heritage and the Archaeological Museum in Hissarya. This was not run through the University of Exeter although it did form the basis for a number of research and methodological reports I had to complete as follow up work.

Home Fundraising Ltd

Charity Fundraiser

- Personally secured £1,000 for the Marie Curie charity through donations made by direct debit subscriptions.
- Had to learn and deliver a set pitch approximately 50 times per afternoon/ evening, adapting it so that it remained fresh and could be relevant to each listener without compromising the message. This job was carried out in a friendly and enthusiastic manner around the south west, in all kinds of weather conditions.
- The job required me to be able to respond to objections or queries instantly, ensuring the response was empathetic, reasonable and understanding in order to secure the necessary trust to receive direct debit donation subscription.
