Co-Founder and Toilet Enthusiast
December 2012 — Present
In Sanskrit, Manavta (pronounced Maa-navta) means Humanity. We are a non-profit organization that builds sustainable sanitation facilities in rural Nepali communities, where only 45% of the population has access to a toilet. Our strategy is based on providing adequate technology and education to change regional behaviour, reclaim the environment, and empower children and their families. Since co-founding Manavta in 2012, Martin has been primarily responsible for the Public Relations and Marketing aspects of the organization's activities - focusing on networking and volunteer recruitment.
