Retail sales consultants educate and inform customers about the benefits and features of their company’s products and services. These professionals help maintain store equipment; monitor inventory; answer and respond to customer calls; and ensure that work areas are clean and organized. Other duties include suggesting accessories or additional products based on customer needs, and rotating store displays and advertisements. Consultants in management positions hire and train employees, record daily transactions, manage staff time sheets and reconcile store accounts and bank deposits.
