Senior IT Applications Designer and Developer

Schedule and manage projects for application development to meet business objectives across domains. Utilize Common Requirements Vision (CRV) models to plan future projects to reduce business costs and improve efficiency. Work closely with business clients to develop process and domain models which define requirements to meet their needs. Handle support for applications as the subject-matter expert (SME) for departmental applications. Create applications which meet these defined needs and create documentation to provide efficient support in order to meet defined service-level agreements (SLAs). Primarily function as a business analyst and developer for clients in order to support the electrical power grid for over 1.1 million Wisconsin residents.
I am heavily involved in and excited for corporate initiatives such as the Integration Competency center focused on Web Service Integration, the Software Development Lifecycle project which has recently focused on defined our CMMI level, and setting the direction for new technology within our workgroup. This includes research on Entity Framework, Knockout, MVC and developer-to-client relations for requirements gathering in a more Agile framework.

A variety of skills have been used in support of my job, some of which include:

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005-2012;
Macromedia Dreamweaver;
Oracle PL/SQL; and

Consulted as a developer for a time-critical salary and time reporting application for union employees. The project required a rapid turnaround due to re-negotiation of union rules and rates. Organized and created the business domain documentation and requirements from user meetings. Worked remotely while providing regular status updates and following the project lifecycle for software development.

Directed and organized programs and events for ten to thirty children aged K4 through 5th grade. Administrative duties included purchasing of all groceries and any craft/event items, as well as handling of monthly payments. Care-giving responsibilities included completion of assigned homework and scheduling and organizing planned outings. The emphasis was on teaching respect and resolution of social issues along with having fun in a semi-structured environment.

Senior Software Engineer

Worked on a team to develop and support the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for a multi-billion dollar client. Product duties included new functionality design, implementation, and testing, and support on a 24 hour a day, 7 day per week rotation. Administrative duties included installation of the product on remote sites, installation and maintenance of Oracle, and application of system and product patches.

Information Manager

Managed the data for a nationwide call center. Responsible for maintenance of the hardware and the quality of the data received from clients. Wrote dBase IV programs to organize and interpret the resulting call data. Wrote the assembly language program which was used to validate the data import from tape. Responsible for four employees and the integration of the various involved departments. Spent over four months on site installing and training new employees to use our system.
