McMaster Science Society (MSS)

Vice President External

Elected in by the McMaster Science Student population (7000 students) to be responsible for External Relationships of the McMaster Science Society (MSS).

This is a multifaceted role as it involves finances, communication, management, and accountability. I primarily focus on fostering positive relationships with members of the community outside of the MSS. I am currently in the process of strengthening ties with McMaster Science Alumni such that undergraduate science students can connect with them to talk about the paths alumni have taken to get to their current career.

I also work on MSS Sponsorships- this includes both funding external events as well, funding of internal events. By making unique sponsorship opportunities, I work to help promote local businesses to the McMaster Science Community.

Tutor

The McMaster Science Society's tutoring service is regarded as the best tutoring service on the McMaster Campus, and I was hired to this position through a competitive application process.

I primarily tutor first-year students taking chemistry and calculus. By analyzing questions and topics that students struggle upon, I strategically build lessons during the session to maximize student understanding. Additionally, I support many of these students in their future endeavors and promote a positive growth mindset while tutoring them.
