Communication Information Unit Supervisor

Design and implementation of the Communication Information Unit, a team dedicated to the sole function of providing fast and accurate communication and exceptional customer service to customers of the Consular Section.
Supervision and direction of all aspects of the CIU and its team members.
Optimization of time and resources in email, phone and web communication with the public through an audit of internal processes.
Make the Consular Section available to a wide audience through a detailed plan of outreach activities including presentations at schools, companies, and institutions, social media chats and information fairs.
Processes reengineering, drafting and implementing new SOPs for both, the Communication Information Unit and the Consular Section.
Cross functional team leadership. Take and provide training at all levels, from new comers to seniors about Consular Services, Leadership and Customer Service.
Design and implementation of the Social Media strategy for the US Consulate General in Guadalajara for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Active social media monitoring, engagement and content creation.
Maintain Communication with US Congressional Offices regarding Consular processes and applicants of interests to their constituents.
