Built and launched Test Kitchen, HuffPost’s first, emmy-nominated multimedia storytelling platform. Managed and creative directed a team of six to deliver more than 30 multimedia stories that use the latest in video, animation and interactive technology.
Developed creative content products such as Storybooks, our mobile-first storytelling platform which allowed our community to interact with news content in an organic way.
Partner with Product team and third party technology platforms to test new product, develop training materials, and encourage understanding and early adoption of multimedia products within the newsroom.
Evaluate and spearhead strategic partnerships with emerging technology companies, platforms, and third party tools, including Capture, GIPHY, GFYcat Canva, Apester, Playbuzz, YouNow, Periscope and ReadyMag.
Ideate, develop and manage distributed multimedia content for all social networks. Build and maintain content calendars and distribution plans, working cross-functionally within the newsroom to ensure key stories have multimedia content and promotion.
Acted as creative and editorial liaison to virtual reality acquisition, RYOT, integrating the RYOT team into the newsroom. Oversaw HuffPost RYOT’s creative and social calendars, finding opportunities to blend 360° video content with editorial pieces.
Assisted Business Development team with multimedia pitches by creating an interactive virtual reality experience designed to deliver HuffPost content to users in a fully immersive environment.
Manage and develop a team of six producers, designers, animators, videographers, strategists, and community managers to create multimedia first stories. Regularly provided feedback and coached team to foster professional growth within multimedia department.
