Communications and Events Manager

Be Smart About Art aims to support artists and art dealers, whether novice or highly experienced in their art career, through training and supporting activities that lead to sustainable and profitable business.

I manage between seven to ten Be Smart About Art events a month, which include internal as well as external outreach events taking place at other art organisations across London. Within the company I am responsible for all communications with our partners, visitors and members. This includes core marketing activities such as strategy devision and day-to-day implementation both on and offline.

As a trainer I assist art dealers and artists in conquering the digital domain and empower them to execute their online presence and marketing.

Association of Women Art Dealers

Membership and International Programme Development

The Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD) aims to be the premier international network for women art dealers. AWAD provides a platform for meeting fellow collaboratively-minded art dealers, gallerists and consultants in the UK and worldwide.

With the planned international expansion of AWAD, I was hired to lead the international programme and coordinate the launch in Miami during the Art Basel Miami Beach art fair in December 2013. I am responsible for organising all international events to spread the word about this fantastic association. I also support the membership scheme and am in charge of our organisational partnerships.

At Be Smart About Art I am responsible for all digital media and the implementation of our marketing strategy as well as assisting with the event planning and execution. I am also in charge of our new feature "Empowering you digitally - on and offline", through which I train art professionals all things digital, to enable them to grow their sustainable and successful careers in the art sector.

Exhibition Coordinator

RE-RITE, the Philharmonia Orchestra's interactive digital installation, allows members of the public to conduct, play and step inside the Philharmonia Orchestra with Esa-Pekka Salonen through audio and video projections of musicians performing Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. As the Exhibition Coordinator for the Re-Rite installation in Salzburg, I assured the smooth day-to-day running of the installation, liaised with the local partner Salzburger Festspiele and assisted in the de-rig of the exhibition.

For Witold Lutosławski's centenary the Philharmonia Orchestra has specially commissioned films, essays and programme notes on the composer's works and his life. These are all presented on the website: http://woven-words.co.uk/

To enable access to German speaking audiences, I translated the entire website including highly technical essays in the field of classical music, programme notes, biographies, film audios and navigations into German.

The IDB is the main source of multilateral financing in Latin America. It provides solutions to development challenges and support in the key areas of the region.

During my time at the Operations Financial Management and Procurement Services Office of the IDB, I developed a new monitoring and tracking method for a grant (Technical Cooperation) of US$ 1M that improved efficiency and cooperation with other office teams. I was also responsible for travel and logistics of 100 participants attending our technical forum in Panama in May 2012. I was also project leading the creation of three internal department websites and managing all site content. In addition I was in charge of the review and editing of terms of references, memorandums and official Bank documents and reports as well as the preparation of consultant contracts, special arrangements and hiring.

The IDB is the main source of multilateral financing in Latin America. It provides solutions to development challenges and support in the key areas of the region.

I assisted in the organisation of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors (in Calgary, Canada) that included the preparation of official receptions, events and conference sessions for 2,000 participants. At IDB Headquarters in Washington D.C., I also supported the offices tasks in ensuring protocol compliancy during visits of high-official diplomatic delegations and heads of state.

Fundación Albéniz, Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander

Intern in Festival Coordination and Donor Relationship Management

The Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander is a classical music festival that brings together renowned professors and music maestros and promising young musicians that share rehearsal rooms and the stage in over 50 region-wide concerts.

I supported customer support and liaison, and was responsible for correct protocol and hospitality. At the Academy I was also supervising all front of house staff and was in charge of daily scheduling.
