Development and Alumni Relations at University of Pennsylvania
My responsibilities here include:
-writing blog entries for the organization’s website,
-corporate donor cultivation for annual fundraisers,
-assisting special event planning,
-raising awareness through the use of grassroots marketing,
-general administrative tasks,
-developing print and online advertisements,
-additional marketing materials and presentations.
Most recently, I created a PowerPoint presentation that was presented to one of NAC’s main corporate sponsors and it received a glowing review from our Executive Director. Working in this Non-Profit environment has allowed me to experience many different tasks and responsibilities of each department of the organization including marketing, social media and web based content, program coordination, and database management.
Working with a team of 4 other Temple Students, managed a third party fundraising campaign to benefit the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Through the organization and planning of various fundraising events and other programs, we raised $2600 in just 3 months for the organization. Also utilized social media to bring awareness about the non-profit and its initiatives.
Coordinated operations for innovative 3000 sq. ft. retail and play space for families including earth friendly café with 50-60 person dining capacity, specializing in high-end, organic American cuisine. Also implemented inventory system, trained new employees and processed customer data on POS system. Designed and maintained merchandise areas. Developed customer care standards to attract new and retain current customer base. Assisted with streamlining policies and procedures during business expansion.
Was promoted from Associate to Assistant Manager in four months time after exhibiting strong leadership and management skills.
