Promotions Director

As the Promo Director for WVAU, AU's student-run radio station, I'm responsible for growing the station's influence on- and off-campus through increasing awareness, generating listenership and promoting our events. With the twin goals of increasing listenership and providing more DJ services, I worked to overhaul WVAU's schedule into listener-friendly genre arcs to make our programming easier to promote and introduced more ticket giveaways and on-campus promotion efforts.

Helping develop and promote AARP's culture programming on a national scale. I contributed to promotions, digital and event planning for AARP's Movies for Grownups program while assisting with other aspects of AARP's editorial and marketing efforts.

Projects included making communications plan for AARP's web series with George Takei; launching two movie screening series for select AARP state markets; coordinating AARP's Faces of 50+ Model Search contest and sweepstakes by approving contestants, helping with customer service and crafting presentations for the final judging process; and leading redesigns of AARP's Movies for Grownups webpage.
