George Washington University
As an experienced undergraduate admissions officer, I am responsible for having a very robust knowledge and skill set regarding the educational programs at The George Washington University that may interest both domestic and international high school students after graduation. I have an in-depth understanding of the holistic college admissions process, and I assist over 850 students annually from the American Midwest – in particular, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky – to obtain the all the important, necessary documents and supplemental materials they need for a successful application to GW.
Choosing a university and crossing the threshold into higher education is an exciting time, yet I know it can be overwhelming for students. Therefore, I help to organize and champion several recruitment events for GW, including the GW Final Look spring yield event. I promote the broader university to potential students and their parents through a combination of informative interviews, delivering 75 large-scale presentations annually, and interfacing with counselors across 40 distinct high schools in the Midwest. I enjoy meeting with prospective students to discuss their application and to provide them with information about financial aid, scholarships, programs and majors.
