The Network

Co Founder

As Co-Founder of The Network, I collaborate with my business partner Cacha` Lopez to create and launch marketing campaigns, pitch to prospective clients, create client and/or sponsorship proposals, produce events, find and book models, hair and makeup, and photographers for shoots. Cacha` & I started The Network in 2010 and since that time we have worked with models, stylists, designers, as well as brands.

This past Spring, we launched Y-Clad Lovers Lane, an online marketing campaign to showcase Y-Clad’s beautiful handmade jewelry. We also produced and hosted Flavor’s Night Out at Y-Clad’s Hidden Gem in NYC.

Flavor’s Night Out is an event created to celebrate diversity by showcasing art and fashion by multicultural artists. At the inaugural Flavor’s Night Out, Cacha` and Pen launched Jewels by Cacha` and #MakeurPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger.

The Network

Publicist

As a Publicist, I write press releases, pitch to media outlets and blogs, and create press materials. I focus on digital PR so I mostly work with bloggers. I have a more organic approach to PR so I only pitch to bloggers who I feel are a good fit for the project I am working on.

I also customize each pitch because I know that each blogger is different and to reach them a pitch must be adjusted accordingly. I have worked with independent artists as well as brands.

The Network

Stylist

As a Stylist, I style editorials and campaigns for The Network, de la Pen, and The InkSpot. I usually start each project by brainstorming a concept and theme for the shoot. Next, I begin the planning process as far as choosing a date, location, models, hair & makeup, photographer, and designers. After that it’s time to execute the shoot which is always interesting as there are usually last minute changes on set.

Most of the editorials and campaigns that I have done are about promoting a brand or designer so I have worked with many emerging and established brands such as Jachs NY, Samantha Pleet, Macy’s, Durrah Jewellery, and more.

de la Pen

Lifestyle Blogger/Editor-in-Chief

As a lifestyle blogger, I do research to learn more about brands, products, or people, I will be featuring on de la Pen. I also collaborate with PR agencies, marketers, and brands to create content so I always have to send emails to request photos, press kits, or negotiate sponsorship.

As an Editor, I edit all content that will be published to de la Pen...All Pen Everything. In essence, I edit articles for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and accuracy.

I have worked with a variety of brands such as Omni Hotels & Resorts, Macy's, and Rimmel London. I have also interviewed and featured artists like Gene Noble, Vakseen, and Gray Malin.

#MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger

Editor/Author

As an Author, I wrote my book #MakeUrPenLOUD: How To Be A Lifestyle Blogger. I created an outline for the book as well as each chapter and then started writing. While writing, I did research to fact check and ensure the information was accurate.

I also edited the book. For this project, I edited the book in three phases. The first phase was editing the book to make sure the content flowed and the writing conveyed the message I wanted. The second edit consisted of editing for spelling, grammar, and structure. The third and final edit was a combination of phase one and two so that the final product was perfect.
