Startup 101

Startup 101

Event Description

You have a startup idea and you don’t know where to start... then this evening is perfect for you! Join us with esteemed speaker Chris Kay for a Startup 101 and then join your fellow Levo members for a drink & discussion after!

Not knowing where to start is a common problem among first time founders. When founding a startup you need to get comfortable with the idea that you’ll have more questions than answers and your job is to find those answers. This talk will be an introductory walk through the main problems of early-stage startups and how to solve them:

- How to make the leap and think like a startup
- Scoping ideas with the Business Model Canvas
- Testing your idea with customer interviews
- Tools to design and build a prototype
- Tools to find and test with early customers
- How to build a sustainable business model
- Venture funding, market sizing, and pitching
- Recommended reading and resources

Content the talk is based on: http://multiplicity.media/startup-101/
